If you have 2 coordinates: (1,1,1) and (0,1,2) - how do you get the direction vector?

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

so write both of the coordinates in vector form. subtract the two vectors accordingly to get the directions as you want. B from A if you want B to A, and vice-versa.

I don't follow :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the direction vector is <(-1,0,-1)>?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

2-1 = 1 on the end there

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if no direction is specified, i think the convention is to make the x component positive

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

rather 1i + 0j -1k

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oops, <(-1,0,1)>. Is this correct however? I see! That's really helpful, thank you both! :)
