Can we multiply every term of an equation by anything we want? How about an expression? I need examples!

you can multiply an expression by anything you want to... but it will change it if you multiply by anything other than one

So but its legal to multiply an expression by (5) if not indicated?

that will be a completely different value (5 times bigger) multiply by 5/5 and both expressions will have the same value (you multiplied by 1)

Ok, just to make sure in an equation: You can multiply for whatever you want, as long as you do it on both sides. On expression you can't

an expression doesn't have two sides to it
