please help and tell me steps too

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lim x->a {x^2 - (a+1)x +a^2) / (x^2 -a^2)}

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wow SO MANY VIEWERS...goood good

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not by expasion please.....

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

what about l'hopital's rule \[\lim_{x \rightarrow a} f(x)/g(x) \] anf g'(x) exists then \[\lim_{x \rightarrow a} f'(x)/g'(x)\] differentiate numerator and denominator f'(x) = 2x - a - 1 g'(x) = 2x \[\lim_{x \rightarrow a} (2x - a - 1)/2x\] you can finish it from here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

L'Hopitals Rule only applies if you get something like:\[\frac{0}{0},\frac{\infty}{\infty}\]if you plug in a, the denominator becomes 0, but the numerator doesnt, only for certain values of a. We cant use L'Hopitals since we dont know what a is.

an please tell me that where Im wrong in this question lim x->0{ ( 1-cos3x)/(x^2)} answer is 9/2 but mine is 9/4
