-3/16-9/16

OpenStudy (jlastino):

They fractions have common denominators so you can subtract them directly the answer would be (-3-9)/16 you can also simplify to the lowest term.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

as the denominators are same so its simple to subtract ur answer will be -3/4

OpenStudy (ash2326):

We have \[-\frac{3}{16}-\frac{9}{16}\] As the two fractions have the same denominator we can directly subtract them Now take a - common \[-(\frac{3}{16}+\frac{9}{16})\] Add the numerators \[-(\frac{9+3}{16})=-\frac{12}{16}\] We can further simplify by dividing the numerator and denominator by 4 \[\large -\frac{\frac{12}{4}}{\frac{16}{4}}=- \frac{3}{4}\]

OpenStudy (ash2326):

@jlamphere Did you get this?
