If a polygon is a kite, then it is a quadrilateral. Write the converse of the conditional statement and determine whether it is true or false.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

The converse of "If P, then Q" is "If Q, then P" In this case, P = a polygon is a kite Q = it is a quadrilateral So the converse of "If a polygon is a kite, then it is a quadrilateral" is If a polygon is a quadrilateral, then it is a kite. But this is false because the polygon could be a rectangle, a square, or a trapezoid. None of which are kites.
