HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i need answers, quiz almost dueeeeee

OpenStudy (amistre64):

this is not meant to be a free answering service ...

OpenStudy (amistre64):

as is, that thing looks bad ...

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i think that first part, the sins cancel and you get a sec

OpenStudy (amistre64):

or you could try to separate like terms and see how they can be simplified

OpenStudy (amistre64):

that was simpler than i thought

OpenStudy (amistre64):

factor out a 2csct and it groups up (2csct +1) (tant t + 1) = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where do i go from there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks for your help tho....

OpenStudy (amistre64):

you equate each product to zero now

OpenStudy (amistre64):

2csc t + 1 = 0 tan t + 1 = 0 they should be simpler now

OpenStudy (amistre64):

csc t = -1/2 might be 30 or 60 degree like tan t = -1 has to do with 45s

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do i know what kind of answer they want/ where do i go next? thank you for doing these steps your awesome... im not to sure how to relate the csc and tan bty looking at unit circle..

OpenStudy (amistre64):

csc i dont think goes under 1 tho ..... so its not going to go to 1/2 regardless tan t = -1 when t = 3pi/4, 7pi/4|dw:1334626858778:dw|

OpenStudy (amistre64):

other than that, you might wanna chk out the wolframalpha to dbl chk

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

csc(x) = 1/sin(x) use that fact... so 2/sin(t) + 1 = 0 2 = -sin(t) sin(t) = -2

OpenStudy (amistre64):

yeh, sin doesnt go past 1

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

which is undefined as sin is [-1, 1]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah its just hard for me to relate csc and sec and stuff to the unit circle, so i see how csc(or sin -2 doesnt work)
