What Prokaryotic cell performs the same function as Cytoplasm?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u der unable to get u mean in prok cell what works in it in place of cytoplasm?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

unable to get ur qn will u plz rephrase it again?

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

okay I 'm OUT here. the expert's above, ask 'em.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What Prokaryotic cell performs the same function as the Eukaryotic, Cytoplasm?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@heena look above

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in euk cytoplasm nucleous is seperated from cytoplasssm whereas in prok, nucelous is absent and all the activites is done in cytpolasm of prok like rna replication protein synthesiss... i guess u were asking this.. (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

am i goin in right way? if no den i m really unable to understand what u are trying to ask :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@heena he's asking exactly what the question is stating. Which prokaryotic cell performs the same functions cytoplasm performs.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thnx @PsychoTink cytoplasm is found in both as here in euk it performs but the most common difference is that cytoplam of euk dont contain nucleuos in it while prok cytoplasm dont contain nucleous so all the function which is performed in nucleouss along with cytoplasmic function nucleous function is also done in prok. cytoplasm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no heena, I still don't think you're answering the question. You're still explaining differences. What is needed is find the function of the eukaryote cytoplasm. Now, what in the prokaryotic system does that same function.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hey but cytoplasm perform same function in all organism i guess.. as euk cytoplsm do :? if i m wrong plz correct me ...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't think he's looking for a cytoplasm to cytoplasm comparison. It reads to me that he's looking for a Prokaryote to Cytoplasm comparison. You're stuck on part to part comparison, it's whole to part comparison.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol i think i mess up will u plz an him so i can get it thnQ...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

All living organisms on earth consists of cells which are the basic units of life. Based on their function, cells are categorized into different types of cells, the somatic cells and the reproductive cells. Each cell has a nucleus and a jellylike watery substance that is 80% water that occupies the remaining part of the cell. This is called Cytoplasm. The cytoplasm holds different parts of the cell's organelles together. Cytoplasm was first discovered first in 1835 but the discovery is not credited to a single person as many biologists and researchers have contributed to the knowledge on Cytoplasm.

http://www.cod.edu/people/faculty/fancher/cellstructure.htm Hope you will find help from this. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What exactly do you mean by "what prokaryotic cell?" I'm not sure there's any one prokaryote that serves the entire function of a part of itself.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is what we have to answer, I chose cytoplasm as the Ekaryotic Cell Organell:: Eukaryotic Cell Organelle ---> Function of the Organelle ---> How does a Prokaryotic Cell perform the same function
