Which characteristic makes fungi similar to plants? Both fungi and plants are autotrophic organisms. Both fungi and plants have vascular tissue. Both fungi and plants have cell walls of chitin. Both fungi and plants can grow in soil. I think its b, am i right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think the term vascular tissue is reserved for phloem and xylem-like structures found primarily in your higher plants. While fungi do undergo transport of nutrients, I think the structures they use are not strictly called "vascular tissue." I could be wrong, though. I feel the safest answer refers to their habitat. Where do you see fungi? Where do you see plants? That being said - thanks for making an attempt first!

What do you think it is then?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is D i did the test its correct
