What type of growth is it when a plant has long, thin roots?
when it is growing
observed the roots of a monocot plant and it had thin, long roots!! Gotta find out witch growth is it! My options are A: primary growth B:secondary growth C: lateral growth
Primary tissue is grown from primary growth and it's not until primary growth stops that secondary growth begins. Secondary growth includes lateral growth of cork (bark), the vascular cambium (the veins of the plant), and just generally making the stem and roots larger. So first the roots grow down and the stem pops up out of the soil, and once it's grown out, that's when it begins secondary growth to grow outwards into the thick trees you see now. But if trees never had secondary growth they'd look like long, tall strings. That is, if they didn't fall over without the support of secondary growth or the vascular tissue to feed it.
