2x+7y=3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nice equation.... :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2x + 7y = 3 Subtract 2x from both sides. 7y = -2x + 3 Divide by 7. y = (-2/7) + (3/7) Is that what you wanted?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = (-2/7)x + (3/7) I mean. Forgot to write the x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have to do substitution 2x+7y=3 x-1-4y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, unintentionally I made it easy for ya. You have y. Just plug it in and simplify. Then you can solve for one variable. Once you have that, plugging it in to the other equation will give you the second variable.
