Can anyone recommend a good graphing software(graphing equations in 2D and 3D) which can be downloaded for free?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let me guess, you are taking calc 2 or 3, well microsoft math is a free 3d graphing program, its pretty good

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it full version already?

OpenStudy (kropot72):

A personal licence for '3D Grapher' from RomanLab Software costs $24.95. I have used it for advanced calculus and can recommend it.

:O It's in dollars... I don't have that much money

microsoft math, is a full fledged 3d grapher, its free. Now it does have some shortcoming, but thats to be expected with a free product. But it will do the job.

Also, gnuplot if you are into the free software movement: http://www.gnuplot.info/

For drawing 2D geometry, try GeoGebra or Sketchpad (licensed). For drawing 3D geometry, try Cabri 3d (licensed).

alright thanks guys. I shouldn't expect much from free graphing software. But as long as I could graph it'll be fine :)

I need it to check my answers

A possibility is also to use wolfram alpha online, not really interactive graphing, but really cool, intuitive to use nevertheless. Also, lots of amazing tools/knowledge in there. http://www.wolframalpha.com

I use Graphing Calculator 3D. I like it. It can be found at http://www.runiter.com/

thanks I check out the sites you gave right now
