Skin compared to plant covering

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you mean What is the difference from our skin and the "skin" on plants?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just the packet said that :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so that is all it asked?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Like other organisms, plant cells are grouped together into various tissues. These tissues can be simple, consisting of a single cell type, or complex, consisting of more than one cell type. Above and beyond tissues, plants also have a higher level of structure called plant tissue systems. There are three types of tissue systems: dermal tissue, vascular tissue, and ground tissue systems.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok put first about skin

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

shorty please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Epidermis is divided into several layers where cells are formed through mitosis at the innermost layers. They move up the strata changing shape and composition as they differentiate and become filled with keratin. They eventually reach the top layer called stratum corneum and are sloughed off, or desquamated. This process is called keratinization and takes place within weeks. The outermost layer of the epidermis consists of 25 to 30 layers of dead cells.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let me fix that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol i don't space to write all of that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol lol lol two important sentences for skin and another 2 for plant covering

OpenStudy (anonymous):

plant cell contain cell wall to give a structure human cell dont have any well defined shape thats why our skin is flexible

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The skin is a multifunctional organ. It is divided into two main layers, the dermis and epidermis. The skin helps us to maintain our body temperature and when we are hot or exercising, sweat glands in our skin excrete water salts and proteins to cool us down. On the plant the main function of meristematic tissue is mitosis. The cells are small, thin-walled, with no central vacuole and no specialized features.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

she needs that info in a short paragraph tho

OpenStudy (anonymous):

http://web.me.com/zaidquran/resurrectionEng/stage-3-2/plant-leaf-and-human-skin.html it will help.... yeah dude i know but she can pick important sentences.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

these link will explain you more clearly and with diagrams

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is skin for human and plant covering

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is the outer most part of human and plant body

OpenStudy (anonymous):

very nice description annas

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what did i do??? dont taunt me dude

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks annas and doomdude

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

annas Thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

human skin is a protection to the inner organs and plant skin help in the process of photosynthesis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

c'mon guyz i studied all this biology and chemistry stuff when i was in 9th standard

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its been a long time so i cant explain this in a better way.... but yeah i tried to help.... sorry if i m wrong ... u guyz started taunting :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Dude I honestly was trying to compliment you
