Can people please suggest me some sites, where I can improve in my math? I'm in year 8, but doing advanced math (year 9). I'm quite weak in word problems, and need to improve in my speed as well. In exactly 50 days, I'm trying out for a scholarship (for school) so ANY help would be greatly appreciated. The schloraship test consists of two tests; maths and numerical reasoning. Any tips, websites, HELP, would be greatly appreciated. Some of the things I've been studying is graphs (y=mx+c, types of graphs), distance/speed/time problems (NEED SERIOUS HELP WITH THESE), number sequences, etc.

In year 9 (the math I need to get better in), we do graphs, number sequences, apply the Pythagorean theorem into graphs & shapes, distames/speed/time problems, liquid/volume problems, inequalities, ratio & proportions word problems etc. I can solve these questions very easily: http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/4f950a8ce4b000ae9ecb0ecd If you want, you can give me a problem and I can try figure it out.. :) A bit later, I'll type up a word problem I need help with solving..

Hahah. Thanks Sam. :) I've been on Khan Academy and viewed all the tutorials which I think may be important for the test. Any other websites like Khan Academy which could help me? Sites which go through word problems/how to solve them would be great :)

An officer on horseback starts at the back of a column of marching soldiers and rides to the front of the column, then turns around and rides back to the rear of the column. If the rider travels three times as fast as the column moves, and the column is 100 metres long, how far does the column move by the time the officer arrives back at the rear of the column? - Different ways to solve this problem would be great :) Please explain the steps you took to get to each answer
