Sorry, I know this is the wrong section, but does anybody speak Spanish?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think that over 500 million people do.

If there are a group of people and one of them is a man but the rest are females, could you call them "hombres?" Or does it have to be all men?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think - and I'm not sure on this; it's been a while since I had spanish - that if even one is male then you use the male term. It's like one guy in a group of girls - you say "hey guys" instead of "hey girls", but I'd get someone else to check that just in case.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know that's how it is in normal situations, but I'm not sure if "hombres" is different. Whenever I type it into an online translator, it always comes up with "men", never an option of "people"

Well, I'll just hit submit for mi tarea and see if it's right or wrong :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Good luck. :)

Nope... it says that it was wrong. I guess it does refer to men... but that's weird... ah, well.
