Please Help me.. I don't understand it. 1. (2x^2+5x-12)/(+4) 2. (3x^2-7x-6)/(x-3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I guess you have to express it in the simplest form..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How would you do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1. (2x^2+5x-12)/(x+4) : I was trying to find a factor that when you add the two you would get 5 but there is nothing. So now i'm lost ...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

find the factor of the numerator \[2x ^{2}+5x-12\] --> (2x-3)(x+4) then cancel out x+4 so that the simplest form would be 2x-3
