What is the precise and rigorous meaning of "uniqueness" for the "solution" of a differential equation? Sometimes the domain of the solution has to be restricted, so if we let the domain to change there are always an infinity of "solutions" (intended as function provided with their domain that satisfy a particular differential equation)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

precise and rigorous? here??

OpenStudy (amistre64):

im sure there are precise and rigorous definitions online ... maybe even from those educational websites :)

I am a newbe, by the way, only now I see that this site is mainly for short question and answers

OpenStudy (amistre64):
