what is the question ? solve for x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Solve for x sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Anyone? :(

Let's start by getting rid of the log. To figure out how to get rid of it, let's use an easier form first : log_2 64 = 6. This means that 2^6 = 64. So, with the equation you have, can you move terms around so that you no longer need the log?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ asker, do what m_charron2 says in that you need to write this problem down in exponential form as he stated...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep thats what you need to do.. I have been absent in class for a week and have no idea whats going on... I need to answer this question by 8th pd. 8pd is next -_- I kinda have no idea what you guys r talking about.. Can someone draw it out?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its 8th now... Anyways you guys can give me the answer...

|dw:1335375523208:dw| I won't give the answer straight out, because that won't help you, but I'll help you get there, that's for sure. So, you can see that by asking the log of a number, you're actually checking what power you'll need to put on the base to get that number (6 in the case of log_2 of 64)
