a prime number is an integer (integers are 0, 1, 2, 3 and so on) greater than the number 1, that has no other divisors than the number 1 and itself. Having a divisor other than number 1 means that you can divide that number by a number other than 1 and itself, and obtain an even number such as 8. In this case you notice that you can divide 72 by several numbers to obtain an even number, so 72 has a divisor and is therefore not a primer number.
