could someone please explain the quote to me? "i don't like to make long-term plans; because of the war, naturally, but even more because keeping the future unknown is a source of permanent excitement" and how does it offer and alternative perspective to the reality of everyday life?
According to the statement, there is a war going on. So, for the obvious reasons there is no use making plans for future, as it is difficult to survive the ongoing war. However there is another more important rationale why one should not plan for future, which is the excitement one gets on facing surprises in life if we are not prepared for it. It offers an alternative perspective to the reality because in real-world we do actually prepare to secure our future. But in the process, we reduce the chances of getting any surprise or anxious moments which might come our way. The statement is in support of the idea that 'Fun is in journey, not in reaching the destination'.
