For some unknown reason, while having no problem using Safari, I can not use Fox Mozilla ver 12.0

OpenStudy (radar):

Any suggestion, other than to use Safari

OpenStudy (shadowfiend):

What happens in Firefox?

OpenStudy (radar):

It never connects with the OS server. I use Firefox for my hotmail, and most other activity. However, I am beginning to like Safri.

OpenStudy (radar):

I will try now to use Firefox.

OpenStudy (shadowfiend):

Yeah, that's pretty weird. It shouldn't be having any problems (we regularly test in Firefox).

OpenStudy (radar):

It states "waiting for openstudy.com" says something about "grassroots"

OpenStudy (shadowfiend):

What's on the URL bar?

OpenStudy (radar):

the URL is "openstudy.com/groups/Mathematics?grassroots=1 is that O.K".

OpenStudy (radar):

*put quotes after the 1"

OpenStudy (shadowfiend):

It shouldn't really have the ?grassroots=1 on the end, but @mattfeury says this might be an issue he's seen before. Try going to: http://openstudy.com/study

OpenStudy (phi):

From a Mac For what it is worth, I just tried Firefox 12.0. It works, unless I disable Javascript.

OpenStudy (radar):

It said at the bottom "waiting for openstudy.com" the top had the URL in it. The little wheel acted as if it was trying to connect, but very quickly quit attempting to connect leaving a blank page with no error message.

OpenStudy (shadowfiend):

That's very very odd. I can't imagine why that would be happening *just* in Firefox…

OpenStudy (radar):

Yes phi it is an I Mac.

OpenStudy (radar):

I am not used to an IMac, where do I check the status of Javascript?

OpenStudy (radar):

I would liike to enable Javascript, do I do that in Firefox?

OpenStudy (phi):

Under Firefox, preferences, Content It should be enabled, but it doesn't hurt to check

OpenStudy (radar):

I gonna go look

OpenStudy (radar):

Rats! It was enabled.

OpenStudy (phi):

I assume you have tried the old stand-bye. reboot.

OpenStudy (radar):

Well it is no longer a big issue as I started using safari

OpenStudy (shadowfiend):

Yeah, that doesn't really sounds like a JS issue. It sounds more like a connectivity issue. Which is extra odd, considering the fact that Safari is working, and a connectivity issue should apply to both browsers.

OpenStudy (radar):

Yes, I have turned the whole computer off and on. I use Hughes satellite that might be an issue.

OpenStudy (phi):

I normally use Safari, but Firefox should (does) work.

OpenStudy (radar):

Thanks everyone, I just wondered if anyone else had an issue with firefox on Mac. Looks like it is just me lol
