jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

First start by distributing the negative through (-3y^2-7y-9)-(4y^2+6y+9) -3y^2-7y-9-4y^2-6y-9 Now group like terms (-3y^2-4y^2) + (-7y-6y) + (-9-9) From here, you combine like terms. I'll let you do this.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Remember, to combine like terms, you just add/subtract the coefficients that sit in front of the like terms. Ex: 2x+3x is 5x because you add 2 and 3 to get 5
