Which best describes the portrayal of the gods and goddesses in Ancient Greek art?
The deities appeared larger than life. The deities were shrouded in darkness. The deities resembled objects in nature. The deities looked like real humans.
i think the answer would be the 3rd one. the deities resembled objects in nature.
It's true that the deities represented aspects of nature, but I probably wouldn't say that they resembled them in art. So I'd probably go with the last one, that the deities looked like real humans. There are a lot of examples that show them off as people in Grecian art. Here's a site you can reference for a lot of pics and info on the Greek deities: http://www.theoi.com/
I would say the first one. You have to keep in mind that the Gods lives on Mount Olympus which is high about the land. And with Gods like Zeus bring shown with a lightning bolt normally, they weren't human and liked it that way- they liked being important and having mortal worship and sacrificing animals to them. The Gods were also portrayed larger than other figures to highlight their importance.
- i think the first one mixed with the last one will be really true
