Parth (parthkohli):

If we express 6 as \[\sqrt{36}\], then would that be called rational or irrational?

Parth (parthkohli):

Oops, the question is wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if \(36=\sqrt{6}\) we have a big problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@satellite73 it will be the collapse of mathematics as we know it :))

Parth (parthkohli):

Haha, I had swapped, can you answer now?

Parth (parthkohli):

@satellite73

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it will still be rational. sqrt36=6 which can be expressed as ratio of two numbers (12/2 for example)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you mean \[\sqrt{36}=6\]? that is better

Parth (parthkohli):

I got my answer. Thanks :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would say six is rational since all integers are rational right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can say 6 is a complex number but you don't, usually.
