OpenStudy (anonymous):

kinda pronounced 'soak-a-toe-a'

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like the volcanoe

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

soh - opposite over hypotenuse cah - adjacent over hypotenuse toa - opposite over adjacent that should give you a rough idea.

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

do you know what sign sin of an angle or tan of an angle ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not sure I understand your question.

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

so for example the sin of an angle is equal opposite side divide hypothenuse ,yes ?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

do you have learned this till today theses rules ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when I said opposite 'over' hypotenuse, this means the same as opposite divided by hypotenuse

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you see that the problem involves two sides that are not the hypotenuse. this gives you a pretty good idea of which trig function to use, as there is only one that does NOT involve the hypotenuse.

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

yes ,,pg.calc " exactly how you have wrote there
