An ordered set of numbers. Here's an example of one 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16... The first number is 2, the second is 4, the seventh number is 14

ok i get it now, its kinda like a table without the x values on top.

Sort of. If you were going to list an x, it would just go 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9... because they describe where the numbers come in the sequence. First, second, third, fourth, fifth, etc.
