i hate finding slopes so can someone help me find the slope of 5x+2y=-3

OpenStudy (noseboy908):

slope is -5/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@noseboy908 don't give answers without explaining it I can easily say the slope is 2/5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But that doesn't make me right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im fine with just answers(:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@bngaure But can you explain why the answer is -5/2?

OpenStudy (noseboy908):

subtract 5x from both sides to get 2y=-5x-3 Divide each side by 2 to get y= -5/2x-3/2.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope

OpenStudy (noseboy908):

Nope where?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope that the asker can't tell me why the answer is -5/2 thats why you don't give answers away

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no i mean I cant explain it, slopes don't really stick

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@noseboy908 thanks a bunch.
