idk its just in my Civil Rights section
Well... Most of the student movements occurred in the late 1960s. They happened all over Europe (including Eastern Europe) and also in the U.S. They were for a variety of reasons; in the U.S. it was mainly to protest the the war in Vietnam. In Europe it was more of a cultural backlash from the massive cultural and economic leap forward that had taken place since the post war economic boom. It is estimated that 2million student protested in Paris during the month of May 1968 There were also protests in Berlin during 1968 to the winter of 1969. England saw protests in London in 1966 of around 100000 at the LSE. The protests in the U.S. were much more massive and involved millions of students nation-wide; although the events started in Berkeley University in California. Then if we are talking Civil Rights movement, it is most likely referring to the United States and the social protest that occurred in the early 1960s for the desegregation laws to be passed in the Southern States. Depending on which protest you are talking about, it could be anything to a few thousand to several thousands.
