Can someone tell me how to find the percent of these numbers? Im not asking for the answer just how to do this because I have forgotten:\ PLEASE!! 3150 1800 2250 1350 450
The question is a little vague. The numbers themselves are 'numbers' and are 100% of them self. What are you trying to do exactly?
It's for a project and these numbers are sales (in dollars) of different music genres and they give me a grph and I have to figure out what the percent of the graph each one is so that i can find the measure of each central angle... i can post it after this so you canlook at it if you would like?
You will need to as the only way to determine the percentage is to see what "part" of the whole they are.
To say that if you had a million dollars in music sales and 3150 of that went to rock music, then (3150/1000000)*100 would tell you the percentage of the million that rock captured.
so will i need to add my 5 numbers and divide them by 5 to get a total number of sales? sorry for the trouble:\
Yes, if you add all the numbers up you will have a total, the "whole", and then you take the "part" that each genre has and divide it by that whole to get a decimal equivalent. Multiply that by 100 and you will have the percentage each genre brought in.
:) Good luck.
Thanks!
