If a linear system has a solution this is an indication that the lines: a- intersect b-coincide c-perpendicular d-parallel

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the solution is a point they have in common... ie, where they intersect

Can anyone else confirm? its for my test. I wanna be 100% right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's correct man...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would the solution set to the system. x = -4 , y = 6. Would it just be (-4,6)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Seemed to simple..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes.. because that first line is a vertical line at x=4 and the second line is a horizontal line at y=6. these two lines intersect at -4,6. those are the easiest lines to work with when dealing with systems.
