H(t) = −16t2 + vt + s wat does the S stand for n the formula???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here is the question "Emmanuel kicks a soccer ball off the ground and in the air with an initial velocity of 33 feet per second. Using the formula H(t) = −16t2 + vt + s, what is the maximum height to the nearest tenth of a foot the soccer ball reaches?"

OpenStudy (turingtest):

s is initial displacement here that is the same thing as initial height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a constant as in ax^2 + bx + c where c is the constant

OpenStudy (anonymous):

H is a function of time, hence when t=0, H gives the initial height. s is just some constant

O k thx :D this is the answer i came up with idk if its rite 17.5 feet for the max height
