log(x+2)=1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10^1=x+2 if i remember correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is this log base 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it doesnt say i saw something about that in the book but i didnt know when to use it. so because there is no base i use 10 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its implied

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ln has implied base of e

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it just says log(x+2)=1 thats it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and e is 10 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no google for what e means

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kind of like pi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh so what do i do with it e is 2.71828

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dont do anything with it. 10 is implied base for logs if nothing is there, e goes with natural logs see my first reply for what you need to do in this problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so it would be x+2=10 then -2 from both sides?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok that was easier then i thought thank you so much
