inter phase is not a phase of mitosis it is a phase of cell division which involves four phases the G1 gap or groeth phase the S phase (synthesis) phase the G2 phase and last of all the M phase (mitosis)

Interphase includes the G1, S, and G2 phase. However, it doesn't include the M phase. Mitosis consists of Prophase, Metaphase, Anaphase, Telophase and Cytokinesis. Mitosis and Interphase are part of the cell cycle.
