distilled water is devoid of any solutes. it contains no additional gases, minerals, or contaminants. would it be right to give a person an iv therapy of distilled water?

Distilled water is water that has many of its impurities removed through distillation. Distillation involves boiling the water and then condensing the steam into a clean container. Based on this, distilled water is nearly free of suspended solids.

DW has some side-effects also it has lower pH than normal water it can cause cell acidosis and can damage the cell v do use DW in injections

An infusion of plain water into the blood would also wreck havoc with the concentrations of solutes in the blood, which in turn would wreck havoc with the fluid dynamics in the body. When doctors want to put fluids into a person, they drip in saline instead of plain water. Kphs66 is correct about the impurity of distilled water, too.

There are only two things you may apply IV as a substitute for blood. #1 Blood, #2 Coconut milk.

Be glad you didn't i made the mistake of saying Coconut milk instead of Coconut water. Coconut milk IV would have devastating...
