If the sample mean is 59.5, obtain the confidence interval?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For confidence interval (statistics), you need some things first. As a general format, confidence interval is Mean +/- critical value (z-score/tscore/chi-square depending on type of question)*standard deviation of the x Before continuing, you'll need the standard deviation and the confidence LEVEL to find the critical value. You can find critical value for normal distribution with the invnorm function on your TI calculator

ok all the problem gave me was the margin of error for the pop. mean, length of the confidence interval and the sample mean ...so how can I answer it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

margin of error is same thing as crit value * standard deviation Therefore you answer to that confidence level will be simply: population mean +/- margin of error.

Awesome thx!
