please help ????? President George H.W. Bush may not have been elected for a second term in office because he had broken a pledge to the American people. When he raised taxes, many people recalled his words, “Read my lips: no new taxes.” Would you take away your support for a president if a campaign promise was broken? In a few years you will be eligible to vote. What criteria will you use in selecting a president? Explain.

nO, I would not because I know that the president is not all powerful. He is persuasive but he has to contend with the congress and it is sometimes impossible to get legislation through without compromise so no, as long as they stayed true to their core beliefs I would not cast a vote against a president because he broke one campaign promise for whatever reason.
