Can someone please give me few examples of a measure in context of probability, like in text it says: A probability measure P over discrete set of events is basically what as know as a probability mass function. For example given probability measure P and two sets A,B ε β, we can familiarly write P(B\A) = P(A ∩ B)/P(A) . is the probability mass function only measure that we deal in measure theory (in context of probability) or there exist more measures in probability?
hey did you get a chance to look at the examples? i didn't look closely, but they looked like just what you asked for
do I have to look at http://rutherglen.science.mq.edu.au/wchen/lnilifolder/lnili.html in chapter 7?
@satellite73 please tell me?
example 7.4.6 here is exactly the question you asked yesterday. lebesque integral of \(x^2\) http://pirate.shu.edu/~wachsmut/ira/integ/lebes.html
@satellite73 excellent examples thank you soooooooo muchhhhhhhhhhh
you are quite welcome looks like it is spelled out pretty well have fun
for this post do you have any suggestions?
well probability is a measure, so my guess is if you keep reading what i sent, it will come up if not i can look further in a little while
I will appreciate if you can :)
