|dw:1336532848086:dw| I am thinking, you're finding how many ways you can arrange the 6 outer people, and then considering which side the groom is on and which side the bride is on Not 100% sure, though.

OpenStudy (accessdenied):

That would be 6! * 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh thatss rite!!! cn i ask u sumthing? why cant we do: 6C6 x 6C5 X6C4 X 6C3 X 6C2 X 6C1 x 2C1 x 2C1? 2 c1 and 2c1 is expressing th fct that there are two eople seleectef 4 the middle nd 1 must be chosen..?

You're using combinations where order matters, at least that's what I'm thinking is the issue. It's been a while since doing this stuff. 6 P 6 * 2 P 1 ^ 6! ^ 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh my teacher said tt in problems where it says order matters, it matters...but okay..thanks ssoo muccch.

You're welcome. I'm mostly going off of my own intuition / memory since I did this stuff like last year and never used it heavily since. :P I just noticed that it'd basically be the same problem removing the bride/groom since they're in the same place and the others would be arranged in the different ways, and then there are two ways the bride and groom can be arranged in their position.

that mkes so much more sense!!!
