Virginia, USA. I am both a mathematics enthusiast and a grammar enthusiast, so the question of whether to pluralize math or not is quite intriguing to me. It only recently came to my attention that there are places in the world where it is commonplace to do so. On the one hand, it feels wholly unnatural to me to pluralize the word "math". However, to pluralize "mathematics" is quite natural, so I realize the flaw in my logic.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

According to OED, "math" is an abridged form of the word mathematics and the British preference, "maths", is attested from 1911. REF: http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?term=math&allowed_in_frame=0

Nobody calls it maths here on the western seaboard of the US, but I've found myself slipping into doing so on occasion. I talk to a lot of people overseas about math, and they all say maths, and I actually think maths is more fun to say.
