when single celled organisms divide, what is the result?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe the process is called Meiosis which takes place.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

God shruti you are to fast

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ever time i go to answer you already did

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol.. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It should be mitosis. Not Meiosis. Because when a single cell organism divide then it is considered as a reproduction process and by meiosis 4 cells are produced with half of chromosome amount. So it should be mitosis.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its mitosis also called fission and the result is variable if it under goes binary fission it produces two cells if it undergoes multiple fission it produces numerous cells

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mitosis is a result because it has a role in production of a single celled organism and has growth development also repair in multicellular organisms
