If you add of all the numbers in the chart what will you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

90.2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No add all the swine, chicken, sheep, cattle and turkeys. What do you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

870

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no divide the number of swine by 870

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{61}{870}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I GOT 0.07

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now move the decimal two spots to the right and put a percent sign next to whatever you get.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

SO THE anwser is b?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup. If you want to get a percent of of something from like a pie chart you divide that value by the total. Then convert that decimal point to percent by moving the decimal point two spots like I told you. Lets say you wanted to find the percent of everything in the pie chart. you will have 870/870=1.00 move the decimal two sport and you get 100% Which make sense if you have the whole thing then ofcourse you have 100% of it. In this case we did it for swine and you got the right answer.
