- Maximum error calculation

OpenStudy (amistre64):

in years?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

explain, just explain

OpenStudy (anonymous):

calculating the cost of atm fees. if a person has atm fees each month of $18 for 8 years, what would be the total cost of those banking fees?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the maximum error calculation is the largest that you are off from the actual calculation ....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont understand still

OpenStudy (anonymous):

may be there is some formulas for that_

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (amistre64):

what are you trying to calcualte an error for?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and? but i need to know abt this things for my exam, Differential Calculus

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in this sphere sorry for engl, its not my native

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the maximum error is most likely the integration of the remainder after youve calculated a few partial sums

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok , can u give some examples?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

formulas?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

\[S=S_n+R_n\]\[\int_{n+1}^{inf}f(x)dx<Rn<\int_{n}^{inf}f(x)dx\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks, but what does mean S and n and R?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and do you know sth abt Second derivatives

OpenStudy (amistre64):

S is the total sum n is the partial value of n terms R is what remaining that you are not adding up

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and also abt Points of inflation (were f''=0 and there is sign change from f''>0 to f''<0 ) - Implecid differentiation :DD

OpenStudy (amistre64):

points of inflection are at least where f'' = 0 or is undefined ... and endpoint

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, THANKS A LOT so can i use it Diff Calc???this formula

OpenStudy (amistre64):

implicit differentation is the same as explicit, but they like to call it something else

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and if \(f''\) changes sign from positive to negative, the function changes concavity from concave up to concave down

OpenStudy (amistre64):

your questions are rather vague and nonspecific .... a little too abstract to pinpoint

OpenStudy (anonymous):

calculating the cost of atm fees. if a person has atm fees each month of $18.00 for 8 years, what would be the total cost of those banking fees?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you! Lamanda its abt errors?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, but if i have sth like this : How to calculate maximum absolute error and maximum relative error? a number will be rounded up to one decimal place if the value at the second decimal digits is 4 and above, or else it rounded down the value to one decimal place. if a machine displays 2.5, find the maximum absolute error and the maximum relative error or this number. then what?
