Find the sum (11x+15)+(10x^2-14)

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

11x + 15 + 10x^2 - 14 just add/subtract like terms

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10x^2 + 11x + 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And the only like terms are 15 and -14.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So 14x^2-16x+1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, 10x^2 + 11x + 1.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

mind telling how you arrived with that @Jtgrx ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I mean 11x+10x^2+1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

how did you get your first one? im pretty sure it wasnt a typo..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oknthanks what about( 14x^2-7x+5) -(9x-4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh no I was looking at the problem I just posted thanks though

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

well in there you just distribute the minus to (9x - 4) so it becomes 14x^2 - 7x + 5 - 9x - (-4) 14x^2 - 7x + 5 - 9x + 4 got it?
