In circle x...(see attachment) I don't understand how to find m<1. I found m<4 and m<5 because a semi circle equals 180, and i take half of 90 and equal it to 7x+3 to get x = 6. m<4 and m<5 equal 45, right? I'm not sure though. Then I completely don't know how to find m<1.

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

is it supposed to be a square? if m4 and m5 are 45 degrees...then m1 and m2 should be 45 degrees as well but 5*6 = 30 ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, it looks like it, but i'm not sure. Do I have to solve twice? 5x = 45??

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

no they would have used a different variable then...im guessing its not a square then hold on..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh wait I see now, m<1 IS 30. m<2 is 60 because 60-180 = 120. but now how do I find m<3?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

ok yeah m1 = 30, because you are right x=6 then the arc opposite of m1 is 60 180-60 = 120 for other arc --> m2 = 60

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

haha :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:P

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

its 90 180 -60-30 = 90

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I see! Thank you so much!

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

your welcome
