Rectangle PDQT is inscribed in a circle. What can you conclude about PQ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

diagram?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There is no diagram

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Angle PDQ is a right angle. So PQ is a diameter of the circle

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

You don't necessarily need a diagram but drawing one may help

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

The reason why I know that PQ is the diameter is because m < POQ = 2*m < PDQ m < POQ = 2*90 m < POQ = 180 Note: O is the center of the circle Since m < POQ = 180 and POQ is a central angle, this means that POQ or PQ is a diameter.

Thank you! That makes it so much clearer!

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you're welcome, glad it's making more sense
