jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you can determine the answer to this question, so the answer is not choice D

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Let X = # of right answers P(Exactly one right answer): P(X = 1) = (4 C 1)*(1/2)^(1)*(1-1/2)^(4-1) P(X = 1) = 1/4 So the probability of getting exactly one answer correct is 1/4 The same can be said for getting exactly one answer wrong because the probability of success and failure are equal.
