Find the limit of the function algebraically. lim 2+x/x^3 x->0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it goes to infinity positive

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you meant (2+x)/(x^3) then there is no limit

OpenStudy (anonymous):

+ or - infinite 0+ or 0-

Can I have the steps to find this answer. So, I know how to do future problems.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well typically you wanna eveluate at zero. but since you cant. You choose a very small number close to zero. It should yield a large number and you assume the smaller your x gets the more your results go to infinity.

to see if it doesn't have a limit then you would try to approach it from left and right like for example in yours you'd wanna pic you cant pic 0 so you will pic somthing close .0000001 and -.0000001 Both approaches should reach same number.

if it doesnt approache same number then there is no limit.
