Given: two is an even integer or three is an even integer. Determine the truth value of this disjunction. Justify your answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the disjunction is true because in order for a disjunction to be TRUE, at least one part of the statement has to be true. in our case, two is an even integer is a true statement, so the disjunction is true. the fact that three is an even integer is a FALSE statement is irrelevant now because we know two is an even integer, which is a true statement.

OpenStudy (giancarlo777):

thanx but how do u justify

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Two is an even integer or three is an even integer Two is an even integer = true = 1 three is an even integer = false = 0 Two is an even integer or three is an even integer Two is an even integer ˅ three is an even integer 1 ˅ 0 = 1 = true

OpenStudy (giancarlo777):
