nah i have pre-calc :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry i cant help you in that

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

its k maybe i can help u :o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay do u know factoring

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

ya

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay our teacher wants us to know how to do it without the trial and error method

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

to what degree are you factoring up to?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y squared + 10y+ 25 here is an example

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

(y+5)(y+5)

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

or (y+5)^2

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

what's this trial and error way you guys did to factor? i'm curious :o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

she told us not to use that way she does not like even though its faster idk how to do it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think this is it

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

well there are a lot of ways to factor but the 3 main ones that don't require graphing are factoring, squaring , or the quadratic formula. but the fastest is factoring

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

so lets do your example |dw:1337226938059:dw|
