Can someone help me with these?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wow! I know spanish by heart since the day I was born but that's confusing:P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know. Lol.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would it be right to say "yo estoy yendo" in present progressive for "I am going"?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not sure how to answer this so that its ok with the course:/ I took spanish last year and its not really like normal spanish...nothing like the real world: I am going = Yo voy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know... You'd you that instead in the real world... I asked my latina friend yesterday, and when I said yendo, she said they don't say that.. :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cuz it's not something you'd say casually:/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yo estoy yendo is correct =I'm going. There are some differences between Spanish from Spain and Latin America. Here in Spain, we say "yendo"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmmm, interesante! Better start saying yendo then, at times :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Seguro por eso es la diferencia. En España es un poco mas formal. En latino américa es mas mezclado posiblemente por la variedad entre las culturas. Gracias @tonijv

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, so necesito ser mas formal en espana con mi idioma, y necesito ser mas relaxed con mi idioma en latino america?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Te entenderan en todas partes no problem ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Bueno :) except por acentos algunas veces

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm from latin america guys and if we think about it, there is no other way to say "I'm going" that "Estoy yendo". It's not an informal way of saying it, it's the only way :/. There is a variety of ways to say you are going somewhere but not using the verb "ir" and "estar" they are just verbs in their corresponding tenses :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I agree.. I see that now... I'm from nowhere spanish, and I've only started learning, but estoy yendo is the only way to say it in this exact tense...
