NEED HELP IN A TIMED TEST... A classroom has a volume of x^3 + 9x^2 + 8x – 60 ft^3 and the height is x – 2 ft. The floor is represented by what polynomial?

OpenStudy (farmdawgnation):

Sorry, but I'm pretty sure getting help on a test is against your school's cheating policy isn't it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its an online class and i had no rules and signed nothing that said no cheating

OpenStudy (farmdawgnation):

Either way, you definitely just closed your previous question and reposted it verbatim.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes but no one was answering it... am i not alowed to repost?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im not lieing tho i am in a timed test for real

OpenStudy (farmdawgnation):

No, you may utilize the bump button to get your question more attention if you feel that it needs it. But please do not close and then repost the same question. However, I'm going to ask you that you don't post questions from your test on here. Whether or not this is an honor code violation (and I strongly suspect that it is), asking questions would seem to imply you're only seeking out answers to make your grade. That's not really the type of help we encourage in this community. If you want to study and learn material in preparation for the test, this is the place to be. But if you're looking for quick answers, then this probably isn't the place for you.

OpenStudy (callisto):

Volume = Height x Floor Floor = Volume / Height = ( x^3 + 9x^2 + 8x – 60) /( x – 2 ) Use long division or synthetic division to get the answer you need. That's all I can help so far. (don't expect I will give you the answer though)

OpenStudy (farmdawgnation):

Thank you for that answer Callisto, it was more than generous. nyan21, I'm going to go ahead and close out this question. Best of luck on your test.
